Women’s heart health

Let’s have a heart-to-heart about women and heart disease. It’s the leading cause* of death among women in the U.S. We need to change that. That’s why Aetna®, a CVS Health® company, covers heart disease screenings for women under most plans.

A woman’s heart shouldn’t be an afterthought

Here’s news worth sharing: Nearly 80 percent of deaths from premature heart disease are preventable.* Changes in physical activity, diet, smoking and managing common medical conditions can all help prevent heart disease. And so can staying on top of critical health screenings.

If you’re an Aetna member, your plan likely covers heart disease screenings.

So be sure to talk to your doctor about what screenings are right for you. Don’t have a regular doctor or primary care provider (PCP)? To find one, log in to your member website. Many MinuteClinic® at CVS® locations offer heart health screenings from board-certified professionals, too.

CVS Health has joined the American Heart Association® in supporting women’s heart health.
