What expenses can I pay for?Get cash for copays, groceries and more

If you’re sick or injured, your bills can add up. Supplemental health plans put some money back in your pocket. And you can use this money however you wish.

Use your cash benefit to pay for:

  • Medical expenses. You can use the cash to help pay for costs your medical plan doesn’t cover. This includes copays, coinsurance and deductibles.
  • Everyday expenses. You can use the cash to cover non-medical expenses, too. This includes mortgage payments, rent, gas, groceries, utility bills or day care. The choice is yours.

How do I access cash benefits?File your claim in a few steps

Step 1: Life happened. Whether you’ve had an accident or are managing a major illness, we’re here to help. Our plans offer a financial cushion for these covered medical events.

Step 2: File your claim. Get convenience when you need it most with our digital claim process. To get started, log in to MyAetnaSupplemental and answer a few questions. Next, upload info to document your claim, like medical statements.

Step 3: Get your cash. If we approve your claim, your cash benefit is paid directly to you. You can get your funds by check or direct deposit. And you can use the funds for any expense, like medical costs, ongoing care… even house bills or day care.
