Medicare Advantage HMO plans

What’s an HMO plan?  HMO stands for health maintenance organization. With our Medicare Advantage HMO plans, you’ll choose a primary care provider (PCP). Your PCP will help coordinate your care within a network of Aetna® Medicare HMO providers and hospitals. It’s Medicare coverage that can help you get the right care at the right time.

Medicare Advantage HMO-POS plans

What’s an HMO-POS plan? It stands for health maintenance organization with a point of service option. With our Medicare Advantage HMO-POS plans, you’ll need to choose a PCP from the Aetna network for medical care. For routine dental care, most HMO-POS plans let you see a licensed dental provider either in or out of our network. You may pay more when you go out of network. It’s a way to coordinate your Medicare coverage that may give you more options.

Medicare Advantage PPO plans

What’s a PPO plan? PPO stands for preferred provider organization. With our Medicare Advantage preferred provider organization (PPO) plans, you can visit Medicare-approved providers, in or out of our provider network, who accept Aetna® plan terms. It’s Medicare Part C coverage that gives you the freedom to choose. You may pay more when you go out of network.

Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans (SNPs)

What’s a SNP? Our Medicare Advantage SNPs can provide added support if you have special needs. Like if you have specific chronic health conditions. Or if you’re eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. Or if you live in a long-term care setting. It’s Medicare coverage designed to meet your unique needs.
