Talk to a registered nurse anytime
Sometimes you need a quick answer to a health question. Maybe your concern can't wait until you see your doctor. You can talk to our registered nurses, day or night, on our 24-Hour Nurse Line. They can help you:
- Decide whether to visit a doctor or urgent care center
- Understand your symptoms
- Manage chronic conditions
- Learn about treatment options and medical procedures
Call the Aetna Medicare 24-Hour Nurse Line
- Call us toll-free at the number on your Aetna member ID card.
- Florida HMO & SNP members only: call 1-855-493-7019 (TTY: 711) anytime.
If you need urgent or emergency care, call 911 and then call your doctor immediately.
Staff on the 24-Hour Nurse Line cannot diagnose, prescribe or give medical advice. Always talk to your doctor if you have more questions.
Where to go for medical care
If talking with a nurse isn’t enough, there are places you can go for help. But how do you know where or when to go?
It really depends on how serious your symptoms are. For example, if you have a rash or sprained ankle, a walk-in clinic or urgent care may be the best option. But if you are having trouble breathing or have sudden chest pain, you should immediately go to the emergency room (ER).
