Getting OTC products with your Aetna® Medicare plan
Some Aetna Medicare plans include a monthly benefit amount (allowance) that can be used to buy approved over-the-counter (OTC) health and wellness products. Plans can have different benefits. So check your Evidence of Coverage (EOC) for your benefit details.
Some plans offer an OTC allowance on an Aetna Medicare Extra Benefits Card to help pay for certain expenses.
How to get your OTC products

Order online
Visit CVS.com/Aetna to log in or register for an account. If it’s your first time, you’ll need your Aetna® member ID number and your email to start. You can view your allowance in your online account. You can also see approved OTC products you can order online. Your products will be shipped at no added cost to you.

Stop by any participating retail store to use your benefit. CVS® locations inside other stores are not included. Log in at CVS.com/Aetna to search for participating stores near you. Not all products are available in all stores.

You can use your allowance to buy OTC products like:

- Pain relievers
- First aid and medical supplies
- Sunscreen and more
If your plan covers OTC products, visit your plan page on our website. Your plan page will have an Aetna Medicare product catalog (or list) of approved products you can buy.
How do I use my benefit to get OTC products?
- You can use your allowance in participating stores, online at CVS.com/Aetna or by calling 1-844-428-8147.
- Your benefit amount (allowance) will be available to you on the first day of each benefit period.
- Any unused allowance will not carry over to the next benefit period. Check your EOC for more on your allowance and your benefit period.
