PART 1

SCENE

We open on Kate and Kate. Each appears on their side of the screen: a Kate on the left—Confident Kate; a Kate on the right—Confused Kate. They are at home, behind their respective desks. Confident Kate is cute, perky, together. Confused Kate is… well…not.

VOICEOVER

This is the story of Kate and Kate.

SCENE

Confident Kate’s desk is clean, organized. She opens her laptop — birds fly out, singing.

VOICEOVER

Confident Kate’s company uses Aetna’s online submission system for its Evidence of Insurability forms.

SCENE

A stack of forms appears. Confused Kate’s irritated eyes peek from behind the stack. The paperwork piles up quickly.

VOICEOVER

Confused Kate’s…does not.

SCENE

She closes her laptop and smiles. A bird lands on her shoulder.

VOICEOVER

Confident Kate uses online submission so there are no paper delays, all her information is accurate and she knows there is nothing missing. Confident Kate submits her form in just minutes.

SCENE

Behind Confused Kate, clock hands spin out-of-control, the sun and moon rise and fall, over and over, days passing. As the VO says the first “wait” a stamp that reads “delayed” appears over the first pile of paperwork.

VOICEOVER

Confused Kate has to wait…

SCENE

As the VO says the second “wait” a stamp that reads

“wrong” appears over another pile of paperwork.

VOICEOVER

and wait.

SCENE

As the VO says the third “wait” a stamp that reads “missing” appears over a third pile of paperwork. Confused Kate grimaces.

VOICEOVER

and…wait.

SCENE

The sun shines. Confident Kate casually walks to the curb. An ice cream truck pulls up and stops in front of Kate. She waves to a friend who comes around the corner.

VOICEOVER

Confident Kate makes it out just in time to meet her friend.

SCENE

Rain pours on a dark night. Confused Kate runs outside, papers flying out of an overstuffed bag, to try to catch the bus. She misses it, and the bus splashes her with a puddle as it flies by. We see her friend go by, sitting on the bus.

VOICEOVER

Confused Kate isn’t so lucky.

SCENE

A dripping Confused Kate looks dejected, waiting for the next bus.

VOICEOVER

With Aetna’s online Evidence of Insurability submission process, Confused Kate could have been spared this aggravation. You and your employees can too.

PART 2

SCENE

Animation break between the hook scene and the explanation.

VOICEOVER

Why was Confident Kate’s experience so much easier than Confused Kate’s?

SCENE

We open on Confident Kate. She looks perplexed—until a light bulb appears above her head and she opens her laptop.

VOICEOVER

But first, what is Evidence of Insurability?

SCENE

Kate types on her laptop and the definition of EOI appears.

VOICEOVER

Evidence of Insurability—or EOI—is what we use to verify good health when buying life and/or disability insurance above a certain amount.

SCENE

Kate kicks up her heels to relax at her desk.

VOICEOVER

We’ll take care of the rest. So sit back, relax.

SCENE

Kate sits up and taps send. An envelope zooms out of her laptop and makes the familiar swooshing sound as it flies off into the distance.

VOICEOVER

Ready to find out how it can work for you? We’ve set up an online system where your employees submit EOI for life and/or disability insurance coverage — fast.

SCENE

The letter zooms back on screen with a red “messages received icon.”

VOICEOVER

In fact, over 80% of applicants finished their submission in no time — under 10 minutes! That’s because the process is so simple.

ON SCREEN FOOTNOTE

Over 80% of all applicants completed their submission in less than 10 minutes based on member surveys in the EOI online system.

SCENE

Kate’s laptop screen projects on her wall like a movie screen. We can see Kate in silhouette nodding in approval and thoughtfully stroking her chin.

VOICEOVER

First, applicants enter their information to sign in — or cruise past this step with a Single Sign On that’s compatible with several third party administrative sites.

SCENE

Kate waves her hand up enthusiastically toward yes.

VOICEOVER

Then they start answering simple, targeted questions.

SCENE

Actual error box pops up.

VOICEOVER

Applicants can’t skip or overlook any required items or medical questions — because our system will alert them if an important detail is missing. That means you don’t have to run around chasing down missing information.

SCENE

Show application has been submitted as EOI.

VOICEOVER

Applicants electronically sign the form. And they can submit the form 24/7 because it’s online.

SCENE

Feeling inspired, Kate grabs the cat mug full of pens on her desk and dumps them out in a trash bin.

VOICEOVER

Once your employees are done, we will let them know the outcome of their submissions.

SCENE

Kate darts off and returns with a drink. She sips it as she searches for cat videos on VideoTube.

SCENE

Kate looks happy as she awaits her decision.

VOICEOVER

Our EOI system helps applicants get responses faster than paper submissions.

VOICEOVER

Many of your employees receive a decision instantly—in real time.

SCENE

“Approved” appears on screen.  Kate gives a little clap to express her delight.

VOICEOVER

Both you and your employees can check the status of our decisions online.

SCENE

Kate looks up — at her framed photo of Mrs. Queenie Mittens.

VOICEOVER

With this efficiency, you and your employees can focus on what really matters.

SCENE

Outside on Kate’s street, a mail truck drives by and a letter escapes, fluttering in the air. As Kate is looking the other way, Mrs. Queenie Mittens bounds by and chases the escapee letter.

VOICEOVER

Online forms are securely submitted. We have industry- standard protection software and online submissions can never get lost in the mail.

SCENE

The mail truck screeches to a halt and backs up to grab the lost letter.

VOICEOVER

Of course, your employees can always use a paper application, if they prefer.

ON SCREEN TEXT

Employees can always use a paper application.

SCENE

Kate walks by as the truck backs up, and sees a disheveled Mrs. Queenie Mittens perched in the street with a stamp stuck to her head.

VOICEOVER

Our EOI system makes the EOI submission process faster and easier than paper submission. We reach out and follow up with employees and report status results back to you, all electronically, so you know who has been approved for what coverage amounts.

SCENE

She scoops her cat up in the nick of time. The two have a happy reunion.

VOICEOVER

That means you and your employees can save time and money — and get back to what really matters.
