It’s just like a walk in the park …

… with your member ID card as your passport to coordinated care and health care savings.

You’ll notice the name of your network on your member ID card. By staying within your network for care, you can save money and get more coordinated care.

As you enter your path to healthier living, here are a few things you need to do.

Start by registering for your member website. To do it, you just need your ID card or Social Security number, a log-in name and a password to keep it secure.

At your member website you can find out what your plan covers.

You can search for network doctors and hospitals …

• check your personal health record
• see reminders for important preventive screenings
• and get an estimate for services you may need.

And remember, staying in the network keeps your costs lower.

Now, first things first. If you didn’t choose a primary care doctor* when you enrolled, do that now. And let us know who you picked right away. It’s easy to do all of that on your secure member site.

Then your primary care doctor can join you on your path to healthier living.

Your doctor gets to know you and your medical history. And helps find care programs tailored to your needs, while directing your care with other doctors and nurses on your care team.

You’ll rely on them to coordinate your care within your Aetna Whole Health network.

Your plan also includes an annual wellness visit. It’s a good idea to schedule your visit right after you’ve selected your doctor … even if it’s for later in the year.

At your wellness exam you and your primary care doctor can make a plan for your good health.

As you visit, talk about which screenings and tests you need. And ask if you can save money by switching to generic medications.
