Well equipped with appropriate tools and technologies, our workplace environment is designed to support people who truly want to do good work and succeed. As a convenience to our work force, many of our locations feature an on-site cafeteria, fitness facility and ample parking. At Aetna, we believe that the workplace should be a productive place where minds and spirits can grow and achieve.

State-of-the-art technology
At Aetna, most of our employees have access to Aetna's Intranet, a rich source of employee news and information. In addition, many Aetna employees are helping Aetna leverage the Internet to grow and expand our business.

Flexibility
To support business needs and the needs of our diverse workforce, Aetna uses flexible work arrangements that may include flexible hours, part-time work, job sharing, compressed work weeks, variable schedules and telecommuting depending on business needs, your location, job type and management team.

Healthy and productive
To help promote a healthy work environment, Aetna is smoke-free throughout all company facilities and permits smoking only in designated areas outside each building. Aetna employees have access to resources for proper ergonomic workstation seating and computer usage to help maximize their comfort and productivity throughout the workday.

Aetna provides employees with resources, information and seminars on health and wellness topics of interest to our workforce. Topics may include parenting toddlers, Alzheimer's and adult care, financing a college education, summer camp choices, cholesterol-know your numbers, healthy eating, bone density screening, health risk assessment, weight management programs, and nutrition counseling.

To address balanced work and life concerns, we offer Aetna employees Employee Work/Life Assistance. This program provides employees and their eligible family members with information, as well as referrals to resources, providers, and individual and family counseling. Topics include adoption, child care, adult care and education to conflict resolution, relationships, as well as stress and time management, just to name a few.
