Aetna internships:
What would your ideal internship include? Real-world experience in a growing industry? Conferences with top executives of a major corporation? Career development ice cream socials? If you answered yes to any of the above, you're in luck. Aetna's Summer Intern Program provides students with a depth of experience in functional area assignments, as well as a breadth of experience through company-wide programs including classroom and e-based training, an executive speaker series, social and community service events, and a cross-functional final project. Our paid internships typically last 10-12 weeks, 40 hours a week, from May to August. Most internships are based out of our corporate headquarters in Connecticut, with additional positions at Aetna offices around the country.

Aetna co-op positions:
As an Aetna co-op, you'll be employed for a minimum of five months and work at least 20 hours a week. Most co-op students work full time in six-month blocks (January through June, or June through December).

How to qualify:
    • Follow your interests - education or career aspirations in the hiring area is a must.
    • Maintain good grades - a 3.0 GPA or above is preferred
    • Get involved - Aetna values the leadership, teamwork and communication skills you'll build through campus clubs, sports teams and student government
    • For internship and co-ps: Complete at least 45 semester hours (second-semester sophomore)

Aetna's Graduate Summer Associate Program
Aetna's Graduate Summer Associate Program was established to identify and develop talent for leadership positions throughout the company. The program is designed to attract high-potential graduate students by offering challenging assignments reflective of regular, full-time positions. The program includes classroom and e-based training, a weekly executive speaker series, social and community service events and a cross-functional final project, including a final presentation to Aetna's top executives. Hiring areas exist in a variety of corporate and strategic functions, typically including Investments, Information Technology, Mergers and Acquisitions, Internal Strategy and Strategic Marketing.
