Pharmacy - Physician Advisory Board Physicians may propose a discussion topic for consideration by the Physician Advisory Board. In late 2003, Aetna established the Physician Advisory Board as a forum for practicing physicians to provide guidance on health care issues of national scope. Examples of national health care issues could include malpractice insurance, health disparities, obesity, etc. The Board is chaired by Aetna's chief medical officer and includes eight additional practicing physicians selected jointly by Aetna and national and state medical societies and associations. For background information, please view the press release announcing Aetna's Physician Advisory Board. For a current list of board members, please click on the Current Board Members link to the right. The Board is scheduled to meet this year on May 4, 2007, and again on November 2, 2007. Submissions received 30 business days before each scheduled meeting will be considered for discussion at that meeting, and later submissions will be considered for discussion at the next scheduled meeting.
