Effective with new business on July 1, 2006 and for renewals October 1, 2006: Aetna Small Group now offers in-state MC or PPO plans for out of state PPO employees.

Some specifics on this new out of state policy include:

• Out of state PPO will no longer be offered for any new MC/PPO customer if the out of state employee lives in a MC/PPO network area.

• If a customer selects an MC/PPO plan and no MC/PPO network is available for their out of state employees, an out of state Indemnity plan will be offered.

• HMO will continue to offer the current out of state PPO or Indemnity Plans for out of state employees.

• Beginning with 10/1/06 renewals, requests for in-state MC/PPO offerings for out of state employees can be sent to underwriting.

• If a renewal customer has a current 2006 in-state MC/PPO offering with out of state PPO lives and wants the in-state plan for new out of state employees, all other out of state PPO membership must also move to an in-state MC/PPO plan. If not in a MC/PPO network area they will remain in the out of state Indemnity Plan.

• If a renewal customer does not have a current 2006 in-state offering they must switch to a currently marketed in-state offering in addition to offering their out of state employees the in-state plan.
