HARTFORD, Conn., May 04, 2009 — Aetna’s (NYSE: AET) Annual Meeting of Shareholders, to be held on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time, will be available through a live audio webcast that can be accessed through the Internet on the Investor Information link at www.aetna.com/investor.

At the meeting, Aetna shareholders as of the close of business on March 27, 2009, will consider and act on the election of directors, approval of the appointment of Aetna’s independent registered public accounting firm for 2009 and, if properly presented, two shareholder proposals.
