Franzoi will be responsible for guiding provider relationships and networks, developing quality improvement and member care programs, and overseeing compliance activities throughout Aetna's regional health care management organizations. He has been with Aetna for 22 years and has held various other management positions in customer service, network operations and contracting. He also served three years as general manager for Aetna's Central and Northeast Pennsylvania medical group business. Franzoi received his bachelor's degree from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
Karp will be responsible for leading the development of new physician and provider network models to expand access to quality, cost-effective health care for Aetna's diverse customers. Previously, Karp served four years as Aetna's vice president of health care delivery, and prior to that as vice president of the national network contracting and strategy organization. Karp has been with Aetna a total of 10 years and held a variety of management positions in network, strategic planning, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and operations. He was also the chief operating officer of Camber Companies, a privately held network management company, and president and chief operating officer of Eastern Operations with MedPartners (now Caremark Rx).
Krueger will oversee strategy and planning in the areas of network management, care management and informatics/reporting. He will also work with local market teams to identify and address market-level health care needs including increasing access to multilingual, multicultural physicians and providers as well as culturally focused products and programs. Previously Krueger led strategy, product development and marketing for APS Healthcare, Inc., and prior to that he was a health care strategy consultant serving the payer, provider and health care services sectors. Krueger is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and received an M.B.A. from Cornell University.
