Aetna Names Mohit M. Ghose Vice President Of Public Affairs

HARTFORD, Conn., May 15, 2008 —  Aetna (NYSE: AET) today announced the appointment of Mohit M. Ghose as vice president of Public Affairs. In his new role, Mr. Ghose will help advance Aetna’s public policy objectives and help position the company as a leading voice and thought leader in the emerging national and state health care reform debates. Ghose will be based in Aetna’s Hartford, Connecticut corporate headquarters and report to Robert Mead, senior vice president for Strategic Marketing and Communications.

Ghose, 34, brings more than 10 years of Washington, D.C.-based industry experience in public affairs and national media relations. As the senior vice president of Public Affairs for American’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), he served as the industry’s national spokesman, and conceived innovative, nationally recognized public affairs campaigns on a wide range of public policy issues.

Prior to his position as senior vice president of Public Affairs, Mr. Ghose held several positions of increasing importance in AHIP’s strategic communications department. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
