About the Financial Planning Association (FPA®)
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) is the membership organization for the financial planning community. Its members are dedicated to supporting the financial planning process in order to help people achieve their goals and dreams. FPA believes that everyone needs objective advice to make smart financial decisions and that when seeking the advice of a financial planner, the planner should be a CFP® professional.

How does FPA assist the public?

FPA's National Financial Planning Support Center offers services and resources designed to help consumers understand the importance of the financial planning process and the value of objective advice from a CFP® professional. Through the National Financial Planning Support Center, you can:
  • Obtain literature on a variety of personal finance topics

  • Find a CFP® professional in your area

  • Subscribe to a free, quarterly, electronic newsletter, "PlanSmart"
You can visit FPA's National Financial Planning Support Center online to access this information or call 800-647-6340.

Why is FPA involved with Plan for Your Health?

Aetna and FPA have partnered on Plan for Your Health to educate consumers about the importance of health benefits planning and the relationship to personal financial health. FPA is involved because of their dedication to educating consumers about the value of financial planning.

Because the trend in health insurance is moving toward consumer choice, consumers will have the opportunity to take more responsibility for their health insurance/benefit choices. Our campaign seeks to provide consumers with the tools needed to guide their choices.
