Aetna Names Patricia Farrell Head Of National Accounts; John Webb To Assume Additional Responsibilities For Aetna Government Businesses
Company announces departure of Brad Fluegel
HARTFORD, Conn., October 2, 2007 — Aetna (NYSE: ΑET) today announced that Patricia Farrell, currently head of Aetna’s Government and Global Business, will assume new responsibilities as head of Aetna’s National Accounts business that will now include Aetna Global Benefits and Medicaid. Additionally, John Webb, who heads Aetna’s Business Alliances, will assume additional responsibility as head of Aetna’s Government businesses. Both will continue to report directly to Aetna President and Head of Business Operations Mark Bertolini.
Brad Fluegel, head of Aetna’s National Accounts, has decided to pursue an opportunity outside of the company and will be leaving, effective immediately. Fluegel joined Aetna in March 2005.
