HCA Midwest, Aetna Ink Contract Extension
Agreement between organizations extended three more years
KANSAS CITY, Mo., September 23, 2004 — HCA Midwest Division signed a three year contract extension with Aetna (NYSE: ΑET), the two organizations jointly announced today. The deal keeps HCA with Aetna through 2007 with HCA participating in Aetna’s HMO and PPO provider networks.
"Aetna has rejuvenated its presence in Kansas City over the past few years, strengthening its network of participating hospitals and physicians and growing its membership to 151,730 members in the metropolitan area," explained John Stockton, Aetna’s head of sales and service for middle market in Kansas City. "Solidifying our relationship with HCA Midwest further heightens the strength and stability of our local network and should lead to even further growth business growth."
