Aetna and NorthWest Ohio Specialists Reach HMO, PPO Agreement
Agreement renews three-year partnership
TOLEDO, Ohio, August 28, 2003 — Aetna (NYSE: ΑET) announced today that it has renewed its contract with NorthWest Ohio Specialists (NWOS) to provide covered medical services for Toledo area members of Aetna’s health plans. The contract is effective September 1, 2003.
Under the agreement, members will be able to access 139 physicians within NorthWest Ohio Specialists. Aetna’s Toledo membership includes approximately 100,000 members and following the effective date will feature 746 primary care physicians and 1072 specialists.

NorthWest Ohio Specialists is a group of board-certified physicians in a variety of medical and surgical specialties serving most hospitals in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
