Registration Help
Your secure website is a valuable resource that allows you to manage your personalized health and financial information - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To activate your account, you'll need to complete a brief registration process. Take a Registration Tour

Who Can Activate Their Secure Website
You can activate your Aetna account if you are:
  1. An Aetna subscriber
  2. A dependent of an Aetna subscriber
  3. A member of another insurance plan who has Simple Steps to a Healthier Life® or Rx Home Delivery.
Subscriber Definition
A subscriber is the primary Aetna member or person who elected Aetna coverage. Once registered, subscribers will be able to access benefit and claim information for their entire family.

Dependent Definition
Dependents are family members covered by Aetna. Once registered, dependents will be able to view their Simple Steps to a Healthier Life® account as well as other valuable health and wellness resources. Please note that dependents must be 18 and older to register.

What You'll Need to Activate Your Account
If you're an Aetna member, you'll need one of the following:
  1. Your member ID number (conveniently located on your Aetna member ID card)*
  2. Your Social Security number (SSN)*
*If you are a dependent, you will also need your subscriber's member ID or SSN

If you are a member of another insurance plan, you'll need one of the following:
  1. Your access code (provided by your employer)
  2. Your dependent key code (provided by your subscriber)
  3. Your work e-mail address

Other Information You'll Need Handy
You'll also need to have other personal information available, such as your date of birth, and e-mail address. Providing this information helps us validate you and protect your personal information. Rest assured that all information you provide is safe and secure.

Selecting a Username and Password
To help safeguard your information, you will create a username and password that you'll use each time you enter your secure website. You'll also answer security questions that will help you retrieve your username or reset your password right online, should you ever misplace them.

How You Know Registration is Complete
Once you activate your account, you'll see a confirmation screen verifying that you've successfully registered for your secure website. You'll also receive a postcard in the U.S. mail confirming that you've successfully activated your account.
