Aetna Individual Medicare Supplement PlanSM (Insurance Policy) As you may know, the Medicare program will not cover all of your health care expenses. Medicare covers only those benefits listed under Part A (hospital care) and, when selected, Part B (doctor bills and other expenses), leaving you responsible for several out-of-pocket expenses, including Part A and B deductibles and costs. To help cover some of these expenses, Aetna Life Insurance Company provides the option to apply for one of three Medicare supplement plans (A, B, or F). Each plan is designed to enhance, not replace, your Medicare coverage, allowing you to select only those additional benefits that are important to you. With each plan, you'll also maintain the freedom to visit any licensed doctor who accepts Medicare. Useful tip
The Aetna Individual Medicare Supplement Plan, which is an insurance policy, can help you lower your out-of-pocket expenses. (You don't need to purchase this policy if you select an Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan. Choose one or the other.) The Aetna Individual Medicare Supplement Plan does not offer prescription drug coverage. If you need drug coverage, you should look into our Medicare Advantage Plans or Medicare Rx Plans.
