How do I fill my covered prescriptions?
Visit one of the more than 56,000 retail pharmacies nationwide that participate in the Aetna Medicare RxSM plans. The pharmacy network includes big-name stores such as CVS, H-E-B and Rite Aid, along with neighborhood pharmacies. Receive prescription drug coverage by showing your Aetna Medicare member ID card at any network pharmacy.
You can find a participating pharmacy in one of four ways:
- Check with your current pharmacy to see if they participate in the Aetna Medicare Rx plans.
- Use our Aetna Medicare Solution Center to look up pharmacies near you.
- Select to compare plans (choose the plan year you are interested in)
- Choose Pharmacy Finder from Helpful Tools (in the lower left)
- Learn about our prescription mail-order services by visiting the Aetna Rx Home Delivery page.
- Call our Member Services toll-free number at 1-800-213-4599 (TTY/TDD 1-800-628-3323), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week.
You must show your Aetna member ID card at participating pharmacies to maximize your benefits under the plan.

About out-of-network pharmacies
You may use a non-network pharmacy for certain non-routine situations, including when:
- You are traveling and cannot get to a network pharmacy, or
- You have an emergency but cannot get your medication in a timely manner because there is no network pharmacy within a reasonable driving distance that provides 24/7 service, or
- The covered drug you need is out of stock at network pharmacies.
To be reimbursed for the cost of the drug minus your copayment (if applicable), you may need to submit claim forms to Aetna. You may need to pay an additional cost for drugs received at an out-of-network pharmacy.
