What is the Individual Medicare Supplement Plan Insurance Policy? As you may know, the Medicare program will not cover all of your health care expenses. Medicare covers only those benefits listed under Part A (hospital care) and, when selected, Part B (doctor bills and other expenses), leaving you responsible for several out-of-pocket expenses, including Part A and B deductibles and costs. To help cover some of these expenses, Aetna Life Insurance Company (Aetna) provides the option to apply for a Medicare Supplement PlanSM (A, B or F; with an additional offering of Plan C in Texas). Each plan is designed to enhance, not replace, your Medicare coverage, allowing you to select only those additional benefits that are important to you. With each plan, you'll also maintain the freedom to visit any licensed doctor who accepts Medicare. For details and enrollment information, click here. NOTE: Medigap policies discontinued prescription drug coverage in January 2006. If you need prescription drug coverage, you may wish to consider Medicare Advantage Plans or Medicare Rx Plans.
