What Are Your Medicare Choices?

Original Medicare — which you may already have — has traditionally been comprised of two parts:

  • Medicare Part A is hospital insurance. It helps cover your inpatient care in hospitals, including critical access hospitals, hospices and skilled nursing facilities (excluding custodial or long-term care).
  • Medicare Part B is optional medical insurance. It helps cover your doctors' services and outpatient care. It may also cover some physical, occupational therapy and home health care services that Part A doesn't cover.

You can also add prescription drug coverage.

  • Medicare Part D is Medicare prescription drug coverage that may help you save on medications you are taking now - or those you may need in the future.
