How Do I Enroll? Enrolling is easy! Once you know that you qualify for an Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan, follow the simple steps below to enroll.
You must be entitled to Medicare Part A and continue to pay your Part B premium and Part A, if applicable. You must use network providers except for emergent care or out of area urgent care/renal dialysis. Aetna Golden Choice™ Plan You must be entitled to Medicare Part A and continue to pay your Part B premium and Part A, if applicable. Higher costs apply for out-of-network services. Precertification, or prior approval of coverage, is requested for certain services. Providers must be licensed and eligible to receive payment under the federal Medicare program. Aetna Medicare OpenSM Plan You must be entitled to Medicare Part A and continue to pay your Part B premium and Part A, if applicable. You can receive covered services from any licensed doctor or other health care practitioner that is eligible to receive payment from Medicare, agrees to treat you, and accepts the Aetna Medicare Open Plan terms and conditions. Precertification is requested for certain services. The federal government has established periods when a person can join and change their Medicare prescription drug coverage. In general, unless you qualify for a special election period, you can change Medicare prescription drug plans once each year between November 15 and December 31.
