Ordering your prescription medications through Aetna Specialty Pharmacy® is fast and easy.*
*Aetna Specialty Pharmacy and the Specialty Pharmacy Network may not be available to California HMO members. Doctors may have agreed to dispense and administer these drugs to members themselves. Or they may write a prescription so that members can fill them at any participating retail or mail-order pharmacy.
A week before your expected refill, an Aetna Specialty Pharmacy representative will call you to schedule your delivery. The representative will confirm that you are still taking your medication, that your doctor has not changed the dose, and that you are not experiencing any unmanageable side effects.

Aetna Specialty Pharmacy does close for select holidays. This may affect some refill orders. Please be prepared to order your refill in advance, if needed. View our Holiday Calendar.
Your medication will be delivered to the address you choose. Aetna Specialty Pharmacy makes every effort to package your medication for easy use and handling, ensuring that it is preserved until you are ready to take it. Your shipment includes necessary supplies, such as syringes, adhesive bandages, sharps containers and alcohol swabs.
After we receive your prescription, your first order should ship within 48 hours. It may take longer if we need to contact your doctor about the prescription.
Your first order includes a welcome packet with forms you must sign and return.
Every order also includes a packing slip. This lists the drugs and supplies in your order. Check to make sure all drugs and supplies are in the package, and that all of the information applies to you.
Please call us right away if your package is damaged or opened. Do not use any of the medicine or supplies.
