Evaluating the pandemic readiness of our critical vendors and business partners:
- Aetna has been reaching out to its suppliers and business partners to ensure that important services, from facilities management to telecommunications support, would be available during a pandemic. In July we conducted a detailed review of the readiness of our most critical vendors. For any vendors found to be deficient in pandemic preparedness, Aetna will provide information to the supplier to assist in the development of a pandemic contingency plan. We will continue to work will all of our suppliers to share information and best practices in connection with pandemic contingency planning.
