Evaluating the pandemic readiness of our critical suppliers and business partners:

• Aetna has reached out to its suppliers and business partners to ensure that important services, from facilities management to telecommunications support, would be available during a pandemic. We regularly conduct detailed reviews of the readiness of our most critical suppliers. For any critical suppliers found to be deficient in pandemic preparedness, Aetna will provide information to the supplier to assist in the development of a pandemic contingency plan or develop additional contingencies. We will continue to work will all of our suppliers to share business preparedness information and best practices in connection with pandemic contingency planning.
