Monitoring situation reports from the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other authoritative bodies so that we are ready to enact our plans as needed:

• To assure that we take appropriate action on a timely basis. Aetna's medical staff regularly monitors information from the World Health Organization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other leading public health agencies. We also coordinate with the emergency management community as well as public health and other regulatory agencies to assure that up-to-date clinical and epidemiological information is translated into appropriate, coordinated responses for our employee and members.
