This CPB has been revised to state that ethanol sclerotherapy is considered medically necessary for symptomatic venous malformations of the head and neck. This CPB is revised to state that the following are considered experimental and investigational: (i) ethanol sclerotherapy for the treatment of endometrioma, and (ii) ultrasound-guided ethanol sclerotherapy for the treatment of Warthin's tumor.

The title of this CPB has been changed to “Ethanol Injection for Thyroid Lesions and Other Selected Indications”.
