African American History Calendar
The 27th anniversary edition of Aetna’s 2008 African American History Calendar focuses on the contributions of African American health advocates in raising health literacy in communities across the nation. The calendar illustrates 17 outstanding individuals and their personal contributions to addressing health literacy in unique settings such as churches, libraries and even barbershops – places where people gather to share information. Throughout the calendar readers will find wonderful examples of how medical professionals, educators, religious and community leaders are rethinking the words they say and write to help make easy-to-understand health information available to everyone.

Latino Calendar
Aetna is pleased to present the inaugural version of our bilingual Latino calendar, Calendario Hispano de Aetna, en celebración de la cultura latina. It is just one example of how Aetna recognizes Hispanics and expresses our appreciation for the many ways in which their perspectives and experiences have enriched our company and the communities where we live and work. Each page of the calendar represents a fresh testament to the diversity and vibrancy of the Latino spirit-shown through the vivid landscapes of the countries that continue to inspire and nurture that spirit today.

Just as this calendar celebrates beautiful lands, it also encourages personal steps toward leading full and healthy lives-something Aetna advances every day through its business innovations and multi-faceted support of our communities. Aetna is proud to share this piece, and looks forward to continuing the tradition of serving our diverse communities through the creation of future calendars.
