Hi, I’m David with Aetna … and I’m here to talk with you about our vision plan  - Aetna Vision Preferred… Uh… wait. I can’t…can you read that? Hang on. Ah. Much better. Let’s try that again.

Hi, I’m David with Aetna… and I’m here to talk with you about our vision plan  - Aetna Vision Preferred. Being able to see well is, obviously, important. But taking care of your eyes is also important for your general health.

During your routine eye exam, your eye doctor may uncover diseases in their early stages -- like glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure… even brain tumors. Not to mention, of course, more typical things like…nearsightedness. Aetna Vision Preferred makes taking care of your eyes as easy as – um… EFPTOZ? Your coverage includes frames, lenses and possibly contacts too.  It might even cover routine eye exams. You can use your lens coverage can be used once every benefit period to buy either 1 pair of eyeglass lenses OR 1 order of contact lenses. You can go to any provider you want to get them, in or out of network. But, keep in mind you can see some pretty big savings - even on popular lens options and accessories -- if you go to an in network provider.

But that shouldn’t be too hard, since our network includes thousands of independent and top retail providers, nationwide… like LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Target, Sears, and JCPenney. You can even get your exam at one place and buy your eyewear at another, if you want. We’re flexible that way.

And speaking of flexible -- Aetna Vision Preferred has practically no lens or frame restrictions.  So when you’re picking out frames, you’ll have lots to choose from.

And instead of paying full price for all this, you’ll either get an allowance to put toward your eye care costs or… you’ll just pay a small co-pay.

In addition, if you want to stay in-network for a second pair of glasses or to give Lasik surgery a go, you’ll get access to discounts on those as well.

We are well equipped to work around your busy schedule… and we offer convenient options whenever we can.  Many of our providers are in or near major shopping centers and have weekend and evening hours.  …. There are even some where you can pick up your glasses or contacts the same day you order them, sometimes within an hour.  And network providers will submit your insurance claim for you!

Aetna has extensive live customer service hours, so if you have problems with your eyewear or benefits, getting ahold of someone who can help you is easy.

The Aetna Vision Preferred plan is a cinch to use.  We’ll send you a list of in-network providers close to your home, or you can choose a provider from our on-line directory.  Just bring in your member ID card, and that’s it! Convenience, savings, and quality eye care at your fingertips.

So, take care of your eyes with Aetna Vision Preferred …. And see what you’ve been missing.
