The Coventry transaction enhances our core insurance business and increases our presence in the fast-growing government sector. Relationships with local providers will expand as well.

Coventry constituents will also benefit from joining us. We have more than 160 years of experience, a strong financial position and a well-recognized brand. We also share a common commitment to empowering people to live healthy lives. Together, we will build on the strengths of both organizations.

We have started to fully integrate our companies. Throughout this process, we will focus on maintaining continuity of service. We’ll create an even stronger company, poised to lead the U.S. health care transformation.

Over the coming months, we will update this page with new information as developments occur.

As individual members of the Aetna family of companies, you will benefit from our Coventry acquisition. At Aetna, we keep the people who use and rely on our services at the center of everything we do. Together with Coventry, we will build upon each other’s strengths to deliver higher quality, more affordable health plans and services. These plans and services will benefit a wider group of members across the U.S. and overseas. Coventry’s distinct capabilities and local market presence will help us to expand our provider network. Coventry will also help us offer simpler plans at more competitive prices. Both Aetna and Coventry share the same commitment to improving the health and well-being of our members. Together, we are in a better position to deliver on that goal.

As we work to bring our companies together, we will continue to provide the high-quality service you have come to expect. For the time being, you won’t see any major changes.
