Barbara Staggers, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.P.

Photograph of Barbara StaggersBarbara Staggers is Director of Adolescent Medicine and Executive Director of External Affairs and Community Relations at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland. She is also Co-founder of the FACES for the Future Program.

Dr. Staggers attained her BA in psychology from University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), her MD from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and her MPH in Health Education from UC Berkeley.  She completed her Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland her Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at UCSF.  Dr. Staggers is a Board-certified Pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine Subspecialist.

Dr. Staggers has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards.  She is Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Directors, The California Wellness Foundation and a member of Board of Directors of My Darling Theo Foundation.  She serves on the Family PACT Clinical Practice Advisory Board for State of California, the California State Immunization Advisory Board Member, as well as local, county, statewide youth advocacy and policy committees.  In addition she is a Planning Committee Member, Family PACT Clinical Education and Training, and on the UCSF Advisory Board for the Center for Health Professions, and the Public Policy and Advisory Committee Alameda County School-based Health Center Coalition.
