Laurie Brubaker

Aetna Culture and Leadership Change

Photograph of Laurie Brubaker Laurie Brubaker is Senior Vice President and head of Aetna's Culture and Leadership Change. As the Enterprise Culture Change Leader, she is responsible for overseeing the cultural changes Aetna is making to increase our leadership agility, customer-focus, innovation and competitive strength, including the adoption of the new Leadership Competencies and Operating Model.

Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Brubaker was Senior Vice President of Aetna Pharmacy, which includes the Pharmacy Benefits Management, Mail Order and Specialty Fulfillment divisions. Prior to her pharmacy role, Ms. Brubaker was head of Integrated Health and Productivity and Chief Operating Officer for the Consumer Segment. In these roles, Ms. Brubaker was responsible for leading operations for Aetna's integrated businesses across Retiree, Individual Markets, Disability and Behavioral Health. She had profit and loss responsibility including sales, product development, pricing, underwriting and service operations.

She joined Aetna in 1986 and has held senior management positions in several areas of the organization including: Customer Service & Operations, Sales and Marketing, Network Management, Process Reengineering and General Sales and Financial Management.

In addition to her Aetna experience, Ms. Brubaker held management positions within the health insurance industry with various companies, including the Blue Cross & Blue Shield plans within New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and Cigna HealthCare.

In 2008, Ms. Brubaker was named to the Top 15 Women in Business by Pink Magazine and also named one of the Top Dallas Women to Watch by the Dallas Business Journal. Ms. Brubaker was on the Board of Directors of the Pharmacy Care Management Association and the Aetna Foundation.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in clinical psychology from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. Ms. Brubaker resides in Mansfield, Texas with her husband and two children.
