Sandip Patel

Senior Vice President, International Businesses

Photograph of Patricia A. Farrell Sandip Patel is Senior Vice President, International Businesses. In this role, he has oversight and responsibility for Aetna’s growing international business, which provides expatriate health benefits and collaborates with health care systems, government entities and plan sponsors to design locally appropriate solutions to measure and manage wellness, and improve health, quality and cost outcomes worldwide.

Mr. Patel joined Aetna in 2010. Prior to joining Aetna, he served in senior general management and practice leadership roles at IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers in various locations in the United States and Asia. During his more than 20-year tenure in professional services, he has managed businesses in established and fast-growing emerging international markets, and been a key advisor to financial services companies and health insurers – including Aetna – on growing their international businesses. As a client service leader, he has also led a variety of complex business transformation programs, addressing the redesign of core business processes and the strategic use of technology.

Patel holds masters degrees in business administration and management information systems from Boston University. He is also a qualified chartered accountant in India.
