Frank G. McCauley

Photograph of Frank G. McCauley Frank McCauley is Executive Vice President of Commercial Business. He oversees the company’s commercial insurance businesses, including National Accounts, which serves the nation's largest employers; Middle Markets; Small Group and Individual, which serves small business and individual customers; Student Health, which specializes in college and university student health programs and insurance plans; Voluntary Plans and Consumer Services, which provide financial protection from health and life events; and Prodigy, which includes the nation's largest independent third party administrator of self-funded health care plans.

Prior to his current position, Mr. McCauley was Senior Vice President of Local Employers & Consumers, a combined organization focused on meeting the needs of local market customers. In this role, Mr. McCauley had full operating and financial responsibility for the Middle Markets, Small Group and Individual, Medicare, Voluntary Plans and Consumer Services and Student Health businesses.

Mr. McCauley joined Aetna in 1993 as Director of Medicare sales for the Mid-Atlantic region. From 1996 to 2001, he held several geography-based General Manager positions within Aetna’s commercial medical business. As General Manager, he was responsible for sales, operations and network management. From 2001 to 2004, Mr. McCauley was General Manager for Aetna’s Small Group and Individual business in the Mid-Atlantic region. From 2004 through May 2007, he led Aetna’s Retiree Markets business, and subsequently served as Head of the Consumer Segment from 2007 through the beginning of 2010.

Mr. McCauley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Delaware.
