Deanna Fidler is the Senior Vice President, Human Resources (HR) for Aetna. In this role, she is a member of Aetna’s highest level management team and reports to Chairman, CEO and President Mark Bertolini. Ms. Fidler is responsible for the development of HR strategies and the delivery of HR services and programs for Aetna.
Ms. Fidler has over 20 years of Human Resources leadership experience in the areas of strategic client consulting, enterprise workforce planning and development, talent acquisition, leadership development, succession planning, and organization design.
Ms. Fidler is the Executive Sponsor for Aetna’s Women’s Employee Resource Group and was previously a member of the Aetna’s Diversity Board. She is also a member of the Senior Human Resources Management Association and Succession Planning Advisory Board for The Conference Board. She also served as the 2010 Co-Chair of the Go Red for Women Campaign for the American Heart Association. In addition, she has continued to serve as the Co-Chair of the Circle of Red for Go Red for the Women Campaign for the American Heart Association in Greater Hartford Connecticut from 2011 - 2013.
Prior to joining Aetna in 2008, Ms. Fidler held executive roles at Swiss Re as Managing Director, Global Human Resources and Talent Development and Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Communications as well as Head of Swiss Re Academy Americas. The majority of her career was built at General Electric through a succession of increasing strategic global Human Resources roles including Human Resources Leader, Head of Organization and Staffing and Executive Director of The Insurance Leadership Institute. Ms. Fidler began her career with Allstate Insurance in a rotational development program leading to progressive leadership positions in Human Resources and Underwriting.
Ms. Fidler holds a master’s degree in Human Resources and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. She resides in West Hartford, CT.
