Undergraduate Summer Internships
What is an Aetna intern?
Aetna’s Undergraduate Summer Intern Program gives students experience in a given functional area. It also provides a range of experience through company-wide programs. These include:
- Classroom and online-based training
- An executive speaker series
- Social and community service events
- A cross-functional final project
Our internships are paid. They typically last 10 to 12 weeks, for 40 hours a week, from May to August. Most are based at our corporate headquarters in Hartford, Conn., with additional positions at Aetna offices across the country.
The internship program offers college students an opportunity to use your creativity and fresh viewpoint in a health care company that thrives on change. You’ll work hard — and make a difference, too. Internships are a great way to put book knowledge to real-world use. They give you a chance to explore career interests through exciting work assignments. | | What makes you eligible?- Currently enrolled in a 4-year college

“I still cannot believe all the networking opportunities I have had in just one short summer. I have made amazing connections with managers and executives throughout this company… I now feel far more confident in myself and my ability to communicate in a professional, yet personal, manner.” — Megan G. |
