|Aetna’s Undergraduate Summer Intern Program gives students experience in a given functional area. It also provides a range of experience through company-wide programs. These include:
Our internships are paid. They typically last 10 to 12 weeks, for 40 hours a week, from May to August. Most are based at our corporate headquarters in Hartford, Conn., with additional positions at Aetna offices across the country.
- Classroom and online-based training
- An executive speaker series
- Social and community service events
- A cross-functional final project
The internship program offers college students an opportunity to use your creativity and fresh viewpoint in a health care company that thrives on change. You’ll work hard — and make a difference, too. Internships are a great way to put book knowledge to real-world use. They give you a chance to explore career interests through exciting work assignments.

- Currently enrolled in a 4-year college
- GPA of 3.0 or higher desired
- Current Sophomore or Junior
